14 Mesa Vista student's poems were selected and published in the 2011 Young American Poetry Digest.
The Young American Poetry Digest, a National Schools project, is designed to share our country's youth talents with others as well as to provide a national publishing opportunity for young poets. The Digest represents the imaginative efforts of students of all ages from almost every state in the nation.
A book signing party was held Jan. 20 at the Mesa Vista library to congratulate the published authors and celebrate their achievement and talents. Students read their poems and signed a copy of the 2011 Young American Poetry Digest.
