The Volunteer Application Process
Complete an annual online volunteer application by clicking on the link below and a background check will also be required of all volunteers. YISD will conduct the background check at no cost. Volunteers may complete the application on their home computers, may visit the local libraries to use their computer resources or may use computers at our campuses (i.e. check with school office staff).
Volunteer applicants must scan a valid U.S. government issued picture ID*. If you do not have a scanner, please go to the campus and provide the campus volunteer coordinator with a proof of a valid U.S. government picture ID or contact the Public Relations department at 434-0695.
*Except military IDs according to Title 18, U.S. Code Part1, Chapter 33, Section 701, which prohibits the photocopying of a military identification card.

Please note: If unable to provide a U.S. government picture ID, you must provide the results of a background check from the most recent state or country you resided in.
Applicants will be notified upon approval via email (if email address was provided) or by campus volunteer coordinator. Please allow 5-10 business days for processing.
Application must be done online through a computer. Application is not compatible with smartphone browsers.
