South Loop ES students become pirates to promote book fair
To promote literacy at the campus, South Loop Elementary School hosted a Scholastic Book Fair last week in the library. In honor of the Fall theme, “Bookaneer Book Fair: Where books are the treasure!", staff, students, and their parents got excited about reading with new titles from Scholastic and other popular publishers. Faculty and students celebrated by dressing up as a pirate for the day. The fair was set up by the librarian with the help of parent volunteers. Proceeds will go to support the schools library program.
