Le Barron Park ES students and parents attend “Stargazing Night”
Le Barron Park Elementary School celebrated its 5th annual “Stargazing Night” where the school community enjoyed various hands-on science activities. The students and parents learned about constellations using an inflatable solar system, created phases of the moon with Oreo cookies, played stargazing games and created activities to take home.
They played a game called “Planet Order” utilizing the Promethean board and a Mobi. Also, they used iPads and the App, Sky View: Explore the Universe, to observe the constellations and objects in the solar system. A constellation lesson was presented inside the “Star Lab” (mini planetarium). “The Stargazing Night” provided an amazing opportunity to the Le Barron family to have a great learning experience. Thank you students, parents, teachers, and administrators for providing the school with an extremely enjoyable and successful night.
