Points of Pride

  • South Loop Elementary School is nestled in the historic land of the Ysleta Mission built in 1958. South Loop, home of the eagles, is a small, yet distinguished school, originally started as kindergarten through 8th grade. It now serves a student population of approximately 400 in grades kindergarten through 5th grade. South Loop's uniqueness creates a sense of closeness amongst faculty, staff, and students that allows for one on one attention in this learning environment.

  • Border Patrol Reads To Students

Students at South Loop had a Border Patrol agent come and read to them during reading time. The Border Patrol has a Reading With Children Program where a Border Community Liaison Agent reads to students. What a wonderful opportunity for promoting literacy. Kudos to our Instructional Coach, Adriana Alvarez for making it happen.
