The vision of Ysleta ISD to go 1:1 with student laptops through the EngageMe Initiative, along with our campus funds has provided each Del Norte Heights student, Kinder-6th, a student laptop or iPad in the classroom.
Del Norte's Character Strong Club is comprised of sixth grade students. The goal is to promote and spred kindness across campus. This allows the students to build a strong character foundation. Del Norte's Student Council works to create opportunities for connection and belonging, opportunities that positively affect school culture and climate which in turn foster high achievement even in our youngest leaders. Falcon Robotics Team will use the VEX Robotics to learn and practice coding skills as well as compete in YISD Competitions. Students will build and program the VEX Robots to complete the designated challenges. The Del Norte TECH CLUB works to learn and use different digital platforms such as Minecraft for Education. Students work collaboratively to build and create new worlds. Falcon News Crew members create morning announcements that are prerecorded so that students can stay up to date each morning. They rotate jobs such as anchorperson(s), weather and birthday announcers.
Del Norte Elementary recently kicked off its Watch D.O.G.S program. The program encourages male role models to participate and volunteer in the school setting to serve as valuable role models in our students education.
