Embedded Program
Del Norte Heights offers the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) program to all students. Students apply their knowledge of science and math using the essence of engineering and art thus expanding their understanding of technology. The curriculum has been designed to inspire the next generation of engineers, inventors, and innovators.
Campus Awards
Del Norte Heights Elementary School was named Texas 2015 Honor Roll by Educational Results Partnership (ERP) and the Institute for Productivity in Education (IPE). Schools receiving this distinction have demonstrated consistently high levels of student academic achievement, improvement in achievement levels over time and reduction in achievement gaps among student populations.
Technology Vision
The vision of Ysleta ISD is to go 1:1 with student laptops through the EngageMe Initiative. In conjunction with our campus funds, Del Norte Heights has provided each student, Kinder-6th, a student Chromebook for use in the classroom.Campus Activities
Del Norte's Kindness Club is comprised of sixth grade students. The goal is to promote and spred kindness across campus. This allows the students to build a strong character foundation. Our VEX Robotics Team will work collabortively to learn and practice engineering skills in order to design and build a robot that can work alongside robots from other schools in YISD VEX Challenges. The Falcon News Crew members participate in our Live morning announcements. They rotate jobs such as anchorperson(s), lunch, weather and birthday announcers.Parental Involvement
