Welcome to Del Valle Elementary School, where innovative learning with 21st Century values of excellence in teaching promotes and challenges all students to achieve their full potential, be academically prepared, socially responsible, and self-motivated to continue learning at a higher level.
We are now a PBIS Campus(Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports). Our School-Wide expectations are:
Be Safe - Be Respectful - Be Responsible - Be Kind
We obtained a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design or LEED certification as of September 2013. This certification provides "a framework for identifying and implementing practical and measurable green building design, construction, operations, and maintenance solutions." This allows us to focus on 21st century, high-level learning for all of our students.
Our teachers are all trained in "Whole Brain Teaching". This is a philosophy that allows teachers and students to truly form a partnership in learning. We encourage students to discuss topics and share their knowledge with one another. We teach our students to have courage and grit. Showing kindness and being leaders is also a big part of being in a Whole Brain classroom.School clubs include: Our Folklorico and Modern Dance: The Royol-T's, The Discoverettes Dance group, Cheerleaders Team, our Bluebonett Reading Club, and Robotics: DiscoverBots. Our DiscoverBot Robotics Team is the First Elementary Vex Robotics Team in El Paso to qualify for the VEX Worlds Competition. They had the honor of competing in Louisville, Kentucky in 2017 and look forward to building upon that success during the following years.
Robotics Team - DiscoverBots has won:
- First place in the TeamWork Championship Award Tournament in December 2021.
- VEXIQ Excellence Award - February 2022
- Qualify for VEX Robotics World Championship held in Dallas - May 2022

Del Valle Elementary is one of the first elementary schools in the El Paso area with 1:1 devices for ALL students K-5. This gives a device to all 450+ of our students. Our K-5 students receive chromebooks every year. This provides access to a variety of school and district programs and ensures all students have equitable access to technology in their classroom.
