        STEM ACADEMY

Eastwood Heights takes pride in cultivating young minds to be passionate about STEM. The mission of the STEM Academy is to prepare students to be college and/or career ready and place them on a track to become future engineers, mathematicians, and scientists.  Our STEM program at EHES provides students with opportunities to take risks, develop strong communication skills, and solve problems in real-world contexts.

STEM lessons are tailored to increase student engagement and problem-solving. For all students, this means strengthening their listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills through enrichment activities. In addition, the engineering design process is integrated within each lesson help students think critically, accelerate their learning, and tie in real-world applications across content areas.

        STUDENT PROFILE

We continue to work hard at achieving a culture where we cultivate a student who has cognitive, personal, and interpersonal competencies rooted in Grit, Collaboration, and Critical Thinking. We value all three of these competencies, where we know our students will be college-ready and prepared for the real world.
