Dear Ysleta Elementary School Community,
It is an honor to introduce myself as the new principal of Ysleta Elementary School and continue working with this beautiful school community. After this Pandemic Year I hope you and your children are looking forward to beginning a wonderful school year together face to face in August. I can assure you that I share in this school community’s commitment to caring for your children each and every day while providing them a world-class learning and safe environment.
The 2021-2022 school year will mark my 23rd year in education. Graduating from the University of Texas at El Paso, I have served as an educator for 13 years at Ysleta Pe-K Center as a Pre-K Classroom Teacher and Instructional Technologist following a year at Lancaster Elementary as an Instructional Technologist Kinder-5th and then the great honor as the Assistant Principal at Parkland Pre-K Center and then here at Ysleta Elementary.
Now as, Principal of this wonderful school, I am honored and feel so blessed to be part of this community. We will continue our work of being at the forefront of Blended Learning, and work harder than ever in closing learning gaps in students in the year we have had.
To our parents, I know that you are as committed in supporting our children as these wonderful, amazing, hardworking teachers and staff at Ysleta Elementary. We will need you now more than ever to rise up to the occasion to make it a successful year. As they say, “Teamwork makes the Dream Work!"
To our students, I hope that you are excited about this coming school year and that you are out this summer playing and reading tons of books with your family and friends. It is going to be a fun year of learning together.
Please know that my door is always open to you. I heartily welcome your conversation and positive input throughout this year. Let us always keep our students the primary focus of our work. I look forward to celebrating our successes during the 2021-2022 school year.
At Ysleta Elementary we say YES!!
You are important!
