Points of Pride
Cesar Chavez Academy was established in 1995 as the district discipline alternative school for the Ysleta Independent School District. Students are assigned to Cesar Chavez by the student's home campus as per the guidelines published in the YISD Student Code of Conduct. The CCA campus sets high academic expectations as well as adhering to a well-defined dress code and behavior expectations. Parents must attend two parent meetings during their child's assignment. Counseling is provided on a weekly basis by the school counselors. The YISD is also in alliance with the El Paso County Juvenile Justice Court for students involved with campus felony situations. The Cesar Chavez Academy serves Ysleta, Socorro, Clint, Fabens and San Elizario school districts in the Juvenile Justice Alternative Education Placements.
