Celebrating 26 Years of Investing in the Future
Since 1992, the Ysleta Education Foundation (YEF) has been fulfilling dreams by providing scholarships to graduating students from the Ysleta Independent School District (YISD). YEF is celebrating more than 26 years of providing scholarships. With the support of YISD, including generous in-kind support and a very successful employee pledge drive, funding from the business community and support of our alumni, YEF has awarded 1,414 scholarships totaling more than $3.2 million to well-deserving students in the Ysleta Independent School District. These YISD students represent a broad spectrum of excellence in academics, leadership, and community service. Students are attending and graduating from colleges and universities across the United States.
The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that was established in 1992 to provide financial assistance to students in the Ysleta Independent School District. YEF is governed by a Board of Directors consisting of community members, as well as the YISD Superintendent of Schools who serves as an ex-officio member.
All scholarships are restricted to furthering the student's educational needs. Funds can only be used for tuition, books, housing and related expenses at the discretion of the foundation board. Awards are made on a one-time, non-renewable basis without regard to race, creed, color, sex, religion, or national origin.

- where over 800 high school seniors will be the first in their family to attend college (35%)
