    BASEBALL

Parkland Baseball is coming off a historic season last year earning a 2017 Bi-District Championship.  Parkland Baseball program also recorded a second historical moment when they came off an 18-12 season and also ended up second place behind arch rival Eastlake Falcons.  After sweeping the Andress Eagles in the playoffs they put up a good fight against Amarillo High losing 7-1 and 8-1 ending their great 2017 run.  Parkland Baseball also had 9 players selected to All-District honors and 7 more were also recognized in the All-District Academic Team.  We also had one member being recognized in the All-City Team.

Parkland Baseball lost 6 starters to their Bi-District championship team, but are relying on Jayden Anderson, Jesus Resendiz, and Raul Baca to bring some leadership to this year’s team made up of only freshman, sophomores, and juniors to make a second consecutive run, in hopes of winning a District title.

Coach’s beliefs are that baseball is a year-round sport, therefore, Coach Lopez builds a game schedule in the summer and fall to keep our boys playing and working hard to build their knowledge and skills of the game.  Our team motto is “Team First” and always maintaining our commitment to the team and baseball program.
