Students at the elementary level can begin applying for scholarships for their post-secondary education after high school. While the majority of scholarships are for high school seniors, there are times when scholarships or even contests become available for students at this age. It is never too soon to start teaching our future scholars to get in the mindset of looking for and applying for scholarships now and in the future!

Stephen J. Brady Stop Hunger Scholarship due DEC 5
Applicant Requirements:
1. All applicants must be enrolled in an accredited educational institution (kindergarten through graduate school) in the United States. All applicants must be ages 5-25 and meet the age requirement by October 5, 2023.
2. All applicants must have demonstrated on-going commitment to their community by performing unpaid volunteer services impacting hunger in the United States within the last 12 months.
3. All applicants must be citizens or permanent residents of the United States who reside in the contiguous United States, Alaska, and Hawaii only.
4. Volunteer services performed by applicant must help non-family members.
5. If an applicant is selected as a potential national Stephen J. Brady Stop Hunger Scholarship recipient and is under the age of 18 at the time of selection in order to be confirmed as a winner, the applicant's parent or legal guardian must sign an Affidavit of Eligibility and Assignment of Rights.
6. Scholarship funds awarded to winners must be used for tuition and related fees, books, supplies, and equipment required for courses at an accredited post-secondary education institution

Who Can Apply?• High school students (to assist families with education-related expenses such as school fees, school supplies, uniforms, college application fees)
• College students (to assist with education-related expenses such as books, fees, advanced degree applications)Application Criteria1. Students must read the book, "Pulse of Perseverance: Three Black Doctors on Their Journey to Success" and submit a 250-word essay focusing on how they are currently making a difference in their community and why they believe they have the #pulseofperseverance. The essay should incorporate specific themes from the book that most resonate with you.
2. Students must provide proof of current enrollment (transcripts, letter of good standing, proof of registration, college acceptance letters, etc.) which should be emailed with your name in subject line to: pulsescholarships@gmail.com
3. All applicants must submit a short video on why they possess the #pulseofperseverance and what the scholarship will mean to them. Video clips must be no longer than 60 seconds. Scholarship winners will be notified on the 15th of every month via our website and social media outlets. Innovation in Education Scholarship due by 20th each Month
We at LA Tutors are passionate about sparking the creative genius in students and would love to commend those outstanding students who have a made a difference in the lives of others in some innovative or technological fashion. In order to achieve this, we have established a scholarship for students who meet certain criteria.
- Must currently be enrolled as a high school or college/university student.
- Must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 (or the equivalent).
- Must be a citizen of, permanent resident of, or hold a valid student visa in the United States or Canada.
- Must have designed an innovative project that makes a difference in the lives of others (This could be a website, series of blogs, an app, fundraising event, etc.)
- Must submit an essay describing the goal of the particular project and provide supporting documentation. There is no minimum or maximum word/page count.

Humanity Rising Service Scholarship AWARDED QUARTERLY
ELIGIBILITY:
- to qualify, create and upload a 60-second video to share your service story
- once you have a service story to share, create and upload a 60-second video, and share it with us. This can just be you talking, or you can get creative and share pictures of your service
* there are no minimum hours required and no specific activity that is more or less compelling in the eyes of our judges. We’re looking for service that was impactful and meaningful to you and those who benefitted from your volunteerism or innovative service project. A good rule of thumb is at least ten (10) hours of overall engagement. -
Dr. Juan Andrade Jr. Scholarship for Young Hispanic Leaders due NOV 30
Scholarship Qualifications
Applicants must be enrolled or accepted for enrollment as full-time undergraduate students, in an accredited four-year or two-year institution in the U.S. or U.S. territories, and demonstrate a verifiable need for financial support. At least one parent must be of Hispanic ancestry. Non-U.S. citizens are eligible to apply (DACA or Undocumented). Mental Health is a topic that can feel difficult to discuss. Only 46% of young people say they are comfortable talking to their friends about their mental health and less than one in five do so regularly. Eligibility
- Any current high school senior, college student, or graduate student who is a legal resident of the United States for the 2023 fall semester is eligible to apply.

Driver Education Initiative Award due NOV 30
This scholarship seeks to reward six students for his or her submission dealing with the importance of being a safe and educated driver. The application is handled in essay format. To apply, submit an essay of no less than 750 words in Microsoft Word format addressing the following questions:
