Welcome! My name is Daniella Valverde and I am so fortunate to be the Interventionist here at Del Valle Elementary. This is my 19th year in education. I am a graduate of UTEP with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Counseling. I began my education career in 1994 as a tutor working with students from middle and high school. In 1996, I became a 7th-9th grade math and science teacher at a local private school. In 1999, I took a different career path and worked at the Juvenile Justice Center. I found that I missed the classroom and returned in 2002. As a paraprofessional, I had the awesome experience to work at Del Valle High School. In 2003, I began working in the Socorro Independent School District as a special education teacher in resource and inclusion. While there, I taught grades K-8 in all subjects. In 2017, I was so blessed to return to the Ysleta district and was hired here at Del Valle Elementary. Currently, I am furthering my education and pursuing a Master’s degree to be an Educational Diagnostician through Texas Tech University.
As the Interventionist I provide dyslexia services to qualified students. Additionally, I work with students who have been recommended for intervention in reading and support teachers primarily in K-2. My goal is to give students a safe, kind, respectful and responsible learning environment where they will learn and reach their highest potential.
