1. What is the Socioeconomic Information Form (SIF)?
The Socioeconomic Information Form (SIF) is used by our Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) schools, or schools
where every student automatically receives free lunch. In the 2019-2020 school year, 49 Ysleta ISD campuses
were CEP schools. The SIF gathers the same household information as the application that parents fill out every
year to qualify their child for free or reduced-price lunch, but the SIF uses this information for different reasons. -
2. How does filling out the Socioeconomic Information Form benefit my child?
By completing and submitting the Socioeconomic Information Form (SIF), parents are providing the kind of
important information that may:- Increase funding for afterschool programs
- Provide additional money to schools to support student learning and purchase technology/supplies, including 1-to-1 student laptops for every student in pre-K through 12th grades
- Qualify Ysleta ISD for more state and federal funding per student, which can be passed on to campuses
