Principal’s Message
We are pleased that you have taken the time to visit the Mission Valley Elementary School webpage. Our hope is that you find our website to be user-friendly and that it serves as a valuable resource to support your child’s education.
Mission Valley Elementary School is a wonderful place for students to receive an education that will prepare them to continue to reach high levels of success as they continue moving forward in pursuit of their long-term goals. We strive to create an environment where each and every student is given the attention necessary to achieve his/her individual success. In addition to receiving solid instruction in all core contents (Reading, Writing, Math, Science & Social Studies), our students are also provided with interventions and additional support when needed so that they can continue to build on necessary foundational skills. Our campus utilizes Boys Town Skills to enable our students to become problem solvers in the classroom and social settings and assists them in building character and refining their decision-making skills.
Mission Valley Elementary School offers students extracurricular opportunities such as Destination Imagination, Library Club, Student Council/Friendship Club, Robotics, and photography that provide them with opportunities to build leadership skills and work collaboratively in team settings.
Our teachers, faculty, and staff go above and beyond in providing students with an opportunity to showcase their talents through art, band, orchestra, broadcast team, and an annual talent show held at the end of the year. We believe in the importance of building and maintaining a strong connection between the school and the home. We encourage the participation of parents and community members by hosting several campus events throughout the year, such as the Fall Festival, Kinder Meet the Teacher, Parent Conferences, and Literacy and Math Nights.Mission Valley Elementary School has attained an A-rating from the Texas Education Agency! Along with the A-rating, our students earned two Distinction Designations from the State for Comparative Closing the Gaps and Science. These Distinctions are given to top-performing schools across the state of Texas. We are proud of our teachers, our staff, and our students and know that all of this is made possible because of their efforts and our strong partnerships with our parents and community members. To learn more about how our school earned an A-rating, please visit txschools.gov and search for Mission Valley Elementary School.
