- Pasodale Elementary has been a TEA Recognized campus in 07-08, 08-09, 09-10, 10-11, 11-12. Currently, Pasodale Elementary has met all the state standards for the 13-14 STAAR Assessment.
Pasodale Elementary School is 1 of 2 schools in the Ysleta district which were finalists for a Raising Blended Learners grant. We partnered with Raise Your Hand Texas to implement Blended Learning on our campus as one of 15 Blended Learning Pilot sites in Texas. As a result of this partnership, we pioneered the Ysleta Blended Learning Network which has expanded to 5 more elementary and 1 middle school campus.
Our campus is a technology rich school with a 1:1 device for all students in grades 2nd-5th grade in partnership with the district EngageMe! Initiative and using campus funds. All PreK - 1st grade classes have access to a variety of desktop computers and iPads with STEM model classrooms also having chromebooks. This initiative allow students to extend their learning at home both online and offline.
Pasodale Elementary is a recipient of a CATCH (Coordinated Approach To Child Health) Grant which has proven to decrease childhood obesity by educating children about healthy food choices and increasing the amount of moderate to vigorous physical activity. Coaches have teamed up with teachers to provide weekly targeted lessons to students.
Students in 5th grade participate in elective classes by choosing from band, orchestra, music and art giving students the opportunity for a well rounded education.
Our school participates in several showcases of student work. The EngageMe Technology district showcase allows students to showcase technology related projects that they have created during the school year. The campus also holds a STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics) and a Dual Language Showcase in the spring.
Pasodale takes pride in our academic programs as well providing after school enrichment programs that reach a variety of interests. Some of those programs include, Robotics, Coding Club, Student Council, Boys and Girls Basketball, Pasodale Cheer teams and Mustangette Dance Team. Students can also participate in Choir or Yearbook as well as others available.
KPASO News is broadcasted live daily over the internet into all classrooms. Our news team report on the weather, birthdays, announcements for the day and Pasodale events. We are proud that the KPASO News is the only elementary broadcasting LIVE daily.
Pasodale’s first robotics team: Techno Top Hat Mustangs competed in 3 competitions this year. They competed in the 1st Annual Ysleta Superintendent’s Cup, 5 Star RoboRave at Fort Bliss (1st Place in Maze and 1st Place in Line following) and in Albuquerque in the RoboRave International competition. Robotics teaches many skill such as problem solving, mathematics, communication, data collection, coding and teamwork. We look forward to expanding the robotics team with the addition of a variety of new robots!
