Reliable, high-speed connectivity for classrooms and administrative areas within the district, in support of teaching and learning, administrative management, and operational requirements.
Integrate technology into curriculum, instruction, and assessment so our students will be competitive in a global environment with their peers. The Ysleta Independent School District is a technology leader in El Paso. The Technology Information Systems (TIS) department is responsible for acquiring, maintaining and supporting a wide array of technology within the school district. As a group, we are responsible for the GradeSpeed (Courselinks) system, the TylerMunis finance and human resource system, the district’s sixty-two campus wide area network, all campus local area networks, student internet access, web publishing, the district telephone system, support for all of the administrative and academic computer systems, teacher laptops, as well as maintenance and repair for all of these systems.
The Business Information Systems Team is a technical staff with comprehensive business knowledge and application program development and support in the areas of Finance, Human Resources, and Payroll.
The Network Services Division ensures the delivery of computing services district wide to employees, teachers and students, as well as providing a reliable and robust data communications infrastructure that supports non-traditional computing services such as Environmental Control, Security Operations, and the Telecommunications Voice Network Solution.
The Service & Support component of Technology Information Systems supports various aspects of Ysleta's educational infrastructure helping to achieve the unparalleled student success that has earned YISD national acclaim. One segment of Service & Support is the Service Desk. Using Fortune 500 enterprise software, the Service Desk provides telephone and remote support for all District Employees.
The Student Information Systems (SIS) Team is in charge of the daily operations and support related to the Student System, Teacher Electronic Grade books, School Messenger, Data Interfaces, PowerParent and the district’s data warehouse DataMart.
The Ysleta Independent School District has a vast and ever expanding need for telecommunications services. The YISD Telecommunications Department is meeting this need by providing a voice network solution.
