Welcome to Eastwood Middle School, Home of the Raiders!
At Eastwood Middle School, we believe that students are the heart of the school. The detailed attention given to nurturing the whole student through a variety of academic and extracurricular activities make the middle school years a positive experience for all who become a part of our campus commUNITY.
We take great pride in the experiences we offer our students. From an academic standpoint, our students are taught by the highest caliber of certified and qualified teachers. Our campus regularly sits atop district and city rankings of academic performance in many areas. In addition, our campus was awarded the CREST Award (Counselors Reinforcing Excellence in Texas) based on our efforts to place our students’ emotional well-being at the same level of importance as their academic growth.
The extracurricular offerings at our campus include opportunities across sports, arts, and other outside interests. Our athletic program is known for its success and provides multiple opportunities for students to excel. Each year, our campus earns many district championship titles and sees many of our athletes go on to have successful high school athletic careers. Our performing and visual arts programs (to include band, orchestra, mariachi, choir, guitar, piano, and theater) have earned our students recognition for excellence at numerous competitions throughout the city as well as rankings for top performances. They have also earned multiple awards at the University Interscholastic League competition to include many Sweepstakes awards. In addition to the sports and arts, we offer students the opportunity to participate in organizations such as National Junior Honor Society, Student Council, Robotics, eSports, Debate, Yearbook, and more.
With all of the great things happening at Eastwood Middle School, who wouldn’t want to be a Raider?
