Safe Schools Program
Posted by Dr. Ronald Livermore on 8/21/2019 8:00:00 AMThe YISD Safe Schools Program is a community-wide effort to ensure students, parents, school personnel and community partners who visit our schools and District facilities are safe and secure. The program is built on the five pillars of Emergency Management: Mitigation and Protection, Prevention, Preparedness, Response, and Recovery.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
- Campus EOPs must be reviewed once each semester (September & January). Common changes/modifications include (1) administrative, teacher or staff changes, (2) new teacher room assignments and (3) construction and/or facility changes (i.e. loss/gain of portables). Your Fall semester updated EOP should be uploaded no later than September 30th.
- Your first fire drill should occur during the first two weeks of school and should be an announced drill. Let all your staff and parents know the day and time of the drill along with the expected actions involved in the drill. Our primary goal is to monitor appropriate behavior and adherence to drill procedures.
- The 2019-2020 drill documentation form is available for your use beginning August 26. Please use the new SRP Google form and the SRP drill sheet to document your monthly drills. Once signed by your principal, upload the SRP drill sheet to the SRP Drill Gooogle Form and complete the After Action Review. After-Action Review is required to submit the form.
