Points of Pride
Ascarate Elementary School first opened its door in September 1935 and has been proudly serving the El Paso community since. Ascarate Elementary School with its long and distinguished history continues to provide outstanding academic, social and cultural experiences for our students.
Our students have the opportunity to participate in the Dual Language program from K to 6th grade. Kinder to 6th grade students have access to 1 to 1 technology devices in order to facilitate the campus Mission statement of 21st century learning in the classrooms. Year after year we take great pride in always having a large percentage of sixth grade students qualify for AP classes at the Middle School.
Learning at Ascarate extends well beyond the regular classroom. Students at Ascarate have the opportunity to participate in activities such as Band, Orchestra, Young Rembrandts, SWAT Team (StudentsWorking to Advance Technology), Robotics Club, Eagle One News Team, Cheerleading and Basketball Teams.
Our robotics and cheer teams have won multiple awards in local and national competitions. Our robotics team won the 1st place team award in the Amazing category at the national RoboRave competition held in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
We are proud of our rich diversity, our skillful staff and our supportive parents. Check out our web page frequently to get the latest information about our outstanding school!
