Welcome to Cedar Grove Elementary School, Home of the Mighty Braves!

We want all students to BELIEVE that they will be successful, as they prepare each and every day in order to ACHIEVE the highest goals and dreams as they SUCCEED in learning!

    YISD Vision Statement
All students who enroll in our schools will graduate from high school, fluent in two or more languages, prepared and inspired to continue their education in a four-year college, university or institution of higher education so that they become successful citizens in their community.

Cedar Grove Elementary School serves approximately 500 students and has been awarded a grant for training from Raise Your Hand Texas and will be joining the Raising Blended Learners Pilot Network as part of Ysleta Independet School District's co-hort three for the 2018 - 2019 school year. Through this partnership, we will strengthen our goal to continue building a personalized learning approach where students are immersed in the environment and take ownership for their learning based on their achievement data.

As part of the Engage Me district initiative, students in grades 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th are issued an electronic device to enhance their learning experience. Students in Pre-K through 2nd grade have access to iPads and iMacs in their classrooms. All of our students have access to various educational programs and applications that focus on language and literacy, math, science and online safety. Aside from having devices and access to technology, our students participate in a myriad of hands on activities and lessons to include learning centers and explorative science labs.

Cedar Grove Elementary is a recipient of a CATCH (Coordinated Approach To Child Health) Grant which has proven to decrease childhood obesity by educating children about healthy food choices and increasing the amount of moderate to vigorous physical activity. Our Physical Education Coaches, have scheduled several activities to provide targeted lessons to students.

Cedar Grove Elementary also offers a rich Fine Arts Program that includes Art, Orchestra and Band and our students have received several recognitions in this area. The Gifted and Talented program offers Robotics and coding classes and students are invited to participate in various showcases to display their work. Our campus also participates in the Random Acts of Kindness program and Cedar Grove students have committed to fulfilling the Brave Heart Promise to be respectful, responsible, safe and kind.

WELCOME to our Cedar Grove Community.

When you enter our loving school consider yourself a special member of our extraordinary family. Our teachers, staff and the administrative team are committed to delivering excellence through innovative educational experiences in a safe and nurturing environment.
