Hello Everyone. Welcome to Del Valle Elementary!
My name is Rachel Garcia and I am proud to be part of the Del Valle Elementary Family. I am the ELAR/SS Instructional Coach at DVE. In 2016, I earned a Texas Educator Certificate for Principal for grades EC-12 and hold a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Texas at El Paso. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Self-Contained for Grades 1-8 from the University of Texas at El Paso. I am also Bilingual/ESL Certified and hold a reading specialist certificate.
I have been part of the Ysleta ISD for 20 years. This outstanding district has allowed me to grow as a teacher in the classroom, Dyslexia/Reading Interventionist and now ELAR/SS Coach. Being part of many committees has expanded my leadership skills and has allowed my passion to grow as an educator. It is with great pleasure to always share my knowledge and experiences with everyone as we grow together as readers and writers.
