Points of Pride
Welcome to Mesa Vista Elementary School, Home of the Leopards!
Mesa Vista Elementary School is a small gem located in El Paso's lower valley that has been open for 50 years. Since excellence is our priority, our students are held to high standards. We are known for our consistency in following the 3 B's: Be Safe, Be Respectful, Be Responsible. We are proud to be in the Bel Air feeder pattern, as our students will continue to be future Warriors at the new Bel Air Middle School and Highlanders at Bel Air High School. We're #oneRED!
As part of our Engage Me initiative, all of our 3rd through 6th grade students are issued a chromebook while our Kinder through 2nd grade have access to iPads and iMacs to prepare them with essential 21st century skills. Our teachers are using Google apps, like Google Classroom to engage our learners, encourage collaboration, and enhance their critical thinking. In addition to these Google apps, our students have access to various personalized educational programs and applications focused on literacy, math, and science.
We are the first school to have an annual PBIS Behavior Bowl (held in January) and PBIS March Madness (held in March) competitions. These competitions consist of students competing within their grade levels and the winning teams get a chance to represent their grade level in the final event, while the entire school cheers them on. All students who participate must show their consistency in following the three B's throughout the year.
Everyday is a GRRREAT day to be a Leopard!

In memory of Mesa Vista student Ty Cox, we will be collecting donations to raise money for others who are still waiting for a cure for this rare disorder, Langerhans Cell Hystiocytosis. Ty’s smile was contagious and despite the struggles he endured from this disorder you could always find him grinning from ear to ear!
Students are asked to submit donations to their homeroom teacher before the day(s) of Free Dress in order to participate. All other adult donations should be turned in to the Front Office. All proceeds will be donated to The HistioCURE Foundation @ www.histiocure.org on behalf of Mesa Vista in Ty’s name.
Thank you for helping with this cause!
