While the majority of scholarships are for high school seniors, there are times when scholarships or even contests become available for students at this age. It is never too soon to start teaching our future scholars to get in the mindset of looking for and applying for scholarships now and in the future!

- once you have a service story to share, create and upload a 60-second video, and share it with us. This can just be you talking, or you can get creative and share pictures of your service
* there are no minimum hours required and no specific activity that is more or less compelling in the eyes of our judges. We’re looking for service that was impactful and meaningful to you and those who benefitted from your volunteerism or innovative service project. A good rule of thumb is at least ten (10) hours of overall engagement. -
Innovation in Education Scholarship due by 20th each Month
We at LA Tutors are passionate about sparking the creative genius in students and would love to commend those outstanding students who have a made a difference in the lives of others in some innovative or technological fashion. In order to achieve this, we have established a scholarship for students who meet certain criteria.
- Must currently be enrolled as a high school or college/university student.
- Must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 (or the equivalent).
- Must be a citizen of, permanent resident of, or hold a valid student visa in the United States or Canada.
- Must have designed an innovative project that makes a difference in the lives of others (This could be a website, series of blogs, an app, fundraising event, etc.)
- Must submit an essay describing the goal of the particular project and provide supporting documentation. There is no minimum or maximum word/page count.

Scholarships are awarded to Texas residents based on a candidate's academic performance, financial need, readiness and commitment to study, plus other consideration.

Students must read the book, "Pulse of Perseverance: Three Black Doctors on Their Journey to Success" and submit a 250-word essay focusing on how they are currently making a difference in their community and why they believe they have the #pulseofperseverance. The essay should incorporate specific themes from the book that most resonate with you.
2. Students must provide proof of current enrollment (transcripts, letter of good standing, proof of registration, college acceptance letters, etc.) which should be emailed with your name in subject line to: pulsescholarships@gmail.com
3. All applicants must submit a short video on why they possess the #pulseofperseverance and what the scholarship will mean to them. Video clips must be no longer than 60 seconds. Scholarship winners will be notified on the 15th of every month via our website and social media outlets. - Black American
- Incoming college freshman/current high school senior, or a student transferring from a two-year program into a four-year program.

Eligibility
Any high school junior, regardless of citizenship, currently attending high school in the U.S. is eligible to apply to the College Prep Scholars Program. Additionally, U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents living abroad are eligible. International students living outside the U.S. are not eligible.

Ari-Luis Demetrio Cordova Memorial Scholarship for Students with Dyslexia due APR 26
The Ari-Luis Demetrio Cordova Memorial Scholarship (ALDC) was established for graduating high-school seniors in El Paso County with dyslexia. Students pursuing a Bachelor's Degree, Associate Degree, or Vocational school may apply. The family of Ari-Luis established this scholarship after he passed away at 34 in January 2023.

The Maude and Alexander Hadden Scholarship due APR 15
Established in 1968, the Maude and Alexander Hadden Scholarship is awarded to exceptionally worthy high school seniors with demonstrated financial need, for up to four years of college undergraduate study. Hadden Scholars must be U.S. citizens matriculating at a four-year accredited college or university established in the United States.
In awarding Hadden Scholarships, Youth Foundation considers scholastic achievement, character, leadership, volunteerism, and financial need*. There is a minimum unweighted grade point average requirement, 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, to apply for a Hadden Scholarship. There is no minimum test score requirement, but past winners have had competitive scores.

Navy League of the US due APR 15
Scholarship Funding for Sea Service Descendants
College should never be out of reach for a family member of the sea services. The Navy League Foundation guarantees this support by awarding scholarships to high school seniors who will attend college in the fall. Navy League Foundation scholarships are available to children and grandchildren of veterans or active duty sea service men and women, as well as members of the U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps.

1. This is the eligibility criteria for the El Paso Sergeants Major Association scholarship grant.
· You must be a family member of an active duty or retired enlisted Service Member of any U.S. branch of service, or an Allied Service, that reside in El Paso County or the immediate surrounding communities.
· You must be a graduating high school senior, of the current academic year, maintaining a “B” average or above GPA.
· You must be planning to attend a four (4) year college/university.
· You must not be in receipt of a full scholarship.

- a student who is currently enrolled in an accredited college or university located within the United States;
- a parent who currently has a child enrolled as a high school senior located within the United States;
- a student who is currently enrolled as a high school junior or senior who intends to enroll in an accredited college or university located with the United States, within a year of graduating high school ("Entrant").
