How Do I Use My District Telephone and Voice Mail
-
The Ysleta Independent School District has a vast and ever expanding need for telecommunications services. The YISD Telecommunications Department is meeting this need by providing a voice network solution. This voice network utilizes current Voice over Internet Protocol (VOIP) technology between the central switch located at ACAC and all District locations.
What we do:
Assessing all Tele-communications needs, we continuously support and upgrade our telephone system for not only support to the YISD community, but also for cost effectiveness. We maintain a Central Office Avaya CS1000 that has sixty five campuses networked through VoIP trunking and a centralized Call Pilot Voice Mail system. Our department is specifically responsible for:
- Avaya centralized telephone system and Dial tone
- MERIDIAN/AASTRA telephones
- FAX lines(when no dial tone detected)
- Call Pilot Voicemail System
- Call out recordings to the YISD Community
- User training
- Coordinate installations, moves, adds and changes for all of the above
- Liaison to AT&T managing voice and data network outages
- On-call for after hours emergencies
- E-Rate Administration
