Parkland High School 2022 Homecoming Celebration
Parkland High School is proud to honor 2022 Honored Ex Geeno Morua (Class of 2014)
Geeno Morua, a true humble role model to the Northeast community, continues to show his true dedication to the Parkland community by returning to the Parkland feeder pattern through academics and athletics. He serves as a community basketball coach for Team Inspire and molds athletes who go up through high school and collegiate level competitions. Mr. Morua serves as an instructional aide at Parkland Pre-Engineering Middle School and recently received Support Employee of the Year for the 2022-2023 school year. This award shows how passionate he is about the Northeast community and the pride he takes in inspiring students daily. Not only does he devote hundreds of hours to volunteering for our feeder pattern and the students, but he also continues to coach students on and off the basketball court.
His community members who nominated him for the award said this about Geeno's inspiration for The Park. "He has played a major role in the impact of our community in which he grew up. He is the definition of 'Hustle & Heart' of the Northeast. Our students respect him and admire him. He is a person students look up to, to make their day better when they are in trouble and need advice or just to share the good news.
He is the true definition of..."To be a Matador is glorious!" Congratulations!
