State Champions for Vex Robotic State Competition

East Point's Robotics Team N.A.K. won big at the VEX State Robotics Competition held at UTEP on March 7, 2020.

East Point won 1st place for the Robotics Skills competition by achieving a combined score of 150 pts during the autonomous and driving skills competition. This score is the highest throughout the season among all elementary schools in Texas Region 1!

They also received the Design Award for best Interview, Engineering Notebook, and Robot Design.

These two awards provided Team N.A.K. with 2 tickets to the VEX World's Competition held in Louisville, KY. Team N.A.K. received 2 out of the 6 tickets given out.

Team N.A.K. is ranked:

#1 in El Paso (Region 1)

#13 in Texas

#90 in the United States

#131 in the WORLD!!!!

Team N.A.K. was so thrilled to make history as one of the first elementary teams to ever make it to the VEX Worlds competition. Unfortunately, the VEX Worlds competition was cancelled this year due to concern over the coronavirus outbreak. However, this team's hard work will be celebrated on April 25, 2020, when VEX robotics presents the 2020 Vex Robotics Virtual World Celebration.
