1-2-3 Smile!

1-2-3 Smile!

There was a sea of orange at Mesa Vista last Friday. On April 13th, it would’ve been Ty’s 13th birthday. Ty Cox was a former Mesa Vista Leopard and as we all know, a Leoaprd never loses it's spots. In order to honor Ty, students and faculty at Mesa Vista wore orange, which was Ty’s favorite color, and were encouraged to SMILE!

In memory of Mesa Vista student Ty Cox, we will be collecting donations to raise money for others who are still waiting for a cure for this rare disorder, Langerhans Cell Hystiocytosis. Ty’s smile was contagious and despite the struggles he endured from this disorder you could always find him grinning from ear to ear!

Tuesday, April 17 – Thursday, April 19, students, teachers and staff may donate $1 per day to FREE DRESS. In addition, those students who donate the total of $3 to FREE DRESS all three days will receive an orange “SMILE” wristband good for one frozen FRUIT TIKI BAR on the afternoon of Friday, April 20.

Students are asked to submit donations to the homeroom teacher before the day(s) of Free Dress in order to participate. All other adult donations should be turned in to the Front Office.

All proceeds will be donated to The HistioCURE Foundation at on behalf of Mesa Vista in Ty’s name.

Thank you for helping with this cause!
