PHS Class of 2021

Parkland High School Class of 2021 graduated on Monday, June 14th.  A total of 310 Matadors crossed the stage as proud graduates! 

The school's Valedictorian, Nicole Lane is the proud recipient of the Presidential Scholarship and will be attending the University of Texas at El Paso, where she plans to major in Nursing. Before graduating from high school, this past December, as a Parkland Early College student, she earned her Associate’s Degree in Multidisciplinary Studies from El Paso Community College. At Parkland High School, she was heavily involved in Orchestra, Guitar, and National Honors Society and held various leadership positions on the Math Team, Academic Decathlon, Early College Club, and High Q.

The Salutatorian Mia Sellars has been involved in many different aspects and achievements at Parkland High School. She was a member of the Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council, where she helped advocate for students within her school and across the district. She was in the Parkland Early College program, where she completed her associate’s degree early at El Paso Community College in December 2020. She was President of the National Honors Society, varsity swim team captain, and a graduate of the Parkland High School T-STEM Academy. This fall, Mia plans to attend the University of North Texas to continue her passion for education and major in psychology.
