EHS Class of 2021

The Eastwood High School Troopers graduated the Class of 2021 graduated a total of 494 students on June 16th.

 

Eastwood High School's Valedictorian is Manette Fuentes.  She will be attending Trinity University in San Antonio with either a biology or physics major.  She tackled a multitude of advanced classes from AP Biology, AP Calculus, AP Spanish Literature and Culture, AP English Language and Composition, and AP Psychology with poise and grit. Between her studies, she found time to grace several clubs on campus with her membership, such as Spanish NaEHS Valedictorian, Manette Fuentes & Salutatorian, Guerrero de Jesus Oros Sototional HonorSociety, and Future Business Leaders of America--even serving as president of the Science National Honor Society. 

Her accolades follow suit behind her. This young woman received 1st Place in Healthcare Administration for FBLA in 2020 at both the local and state level, was a 2019 and 2020 AP Scholar, and was a National Hispanic Recognition Program Scholar in 2020. 

 

The Eastwood High School Salutatorian Guerrero de Jesus Oros Soto will be attending the University of Texas at Austin with a major in finance.  Graduating with incredible honors, he soared through classes like AP Biology, AP World History, AP English Language & Composition, AP Microeconomics, AP Environmental Science, and Dual Credit English, just to name a few.  

He is multifaceted and talented, balancing his studies with his extracurricular activities in Cross Country, National Honor Society, and Student Council while still finding time to give back to his community by being the Leader of the Kids Ministry Department at Abundant Living Faith Center. As well as volunteering with Recycling for El Paso Homeless and El Pasoans Fighting Hunger Food Bank.
