HHS Class of 2021

The Hanks High School Kingdom of 2021 graduation ceremony took place on June 15th at Excalibur Stadium.  A total of 387 Knights proudly crossed the  stage to receive their diplomas.

Faith Mardell Sanders is the Hanks Kingdom of 2021’s Salutatorian. She will be attending UT Austin where she will major in Radio-Film-Television.  While at Hanks, she was the section leader for the drumline, a member of the Cross Country and Track teams, and she was President of National Honor Society. Faith is a recipient of a Dell Scholarship from UT Austin and the Burger King Scholars Scholarship.

Valedictorian, Alexis Licon, will be attending Texas A&M this fall and will major in Biomedical Sciences.  As a Knight, Lexi was a member of the Lady Knights Volleyball and Track teams, orchestra, NHS, was an All-State Science Fair placer and qualifier two years, a Texas Public Service Association State Qualifier, and vice-president of Student Council. She has also received the highest honor bestowed onto any female Knight by being named the 2021 Duchess.   

Lexi has received scholarships from District Nine Student Councils, the Texas Association of Student Councils, a YEF Academic Achievement Scholarship, and the Aggie Land Bound, Opportunity Award, and Community Connection scholarships all from Texas A&M.
