Eastwood High School basketball player named to All-State Class 6-A

Amaya Williams

The Ysleta Independent School District is proud to announce that Eastwood High School senior Amaya Williams was named All-State Class 6-A by the Texas Girls Coaches Association.

Her career totals at Eastwood include 1,280 points, 715 rebounds, 260 steals, 126 assists, and 75 blocks. Although Amaya has not yet signed to collegiate play, she is being recruited and has offers from a few schools. She recently played in the 2024 Greater El Paso Girls Coaches Association All-Star Basketball Tournament and was awarded the Margaret Hussmann Scholarship for $500.

Amaya is a two-sport athlete. She qualified for regionals in Track and Field last year (this season is still going) and she is a four-year letter winner for both sports. She is also an officer for the Ohana Club and a member of the FCCA.
