Ysleta High School 2023 Homecoming Celebration
Ysleta High School is proud to announce the 2023 Honored Ex, Dr. Don Schulte (class of 1974).
Dr. Don Schulte is currently an assistant professor emeritus at the University of Texas at El Paso. He holds a Doctoral degree in Educational Leadership and Foundation, Master of Education in Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education. During his professional career, Dr. Schulte has served many roles to include, but not limited to teacher, principal, director, superintendent, and associate dean of UTEP’s College of Education. He is co-author of two books and has written over 15 published scholarly journals. He has an award-winning dissertation, as well as several newspaper articles. The Ysleta community is honored to name Dr. Schulte the 2023 Honored Ex.
Ysleta High School celebrates Homecoming week from September 14 to 15, 2023.
Thursday, September 14
6:30 p.m. - Homecoming parade begins at Capistrano ES parking lot, proceeds west on Mecca making a right on Padres, turning west on Alameda concluding on Davis St. Parade will file into Hutchins Stadium for the Homecoming pep rally.
Homecoming Pep Rally immediately following parade in Hutchins Stadium. Enjoy performing groups and a message from our 2023 Honored Ex. All community members, alumni, faculty, staff and students are invited to attend.
Friday, September 15
7 p.m. – Homecoming football game vs. Burges High School in Hutchins Stadium. Homecoming court will be presented during halftime.
