JROTC participates in 9/11 six mile Remembrance walk/run

The Highlander Battalion wanted to honor those we lost 20 yrs ago in the 9/11 attacks by running/walking a 6-mile memorial run. We will never forget the great sacrifice and selfless service these men and women gave for us that day. Never to be forgotten.

Many lives were lost during that horrific event, and any more would be lost as the result of our service members fighting the war on terrorism. Regardless of how we feel or think of the events that happened that day or if our service members needed to be deployed abroad, the truth of the matter is that our nation lost many civilians and service members due to 911. So, on this early Saturday morning 15 Highlander Cadets set forth on a 6-mile run in remembrance of those that were lost during the 911 attacks and the many deployments in a combat theater. If you have any of the following cadets in your classroom, please give them a job well done as they represented our nation, school, and self with pride and honor.
