UIL ORCHESTRA
We would also like to congratulate our wonderful ARC Orchestra on their last UIL Concert and sight-reading competition. Our ARC Orchestra received a 1 overall rating in sight reading and also received a 2 in their concert portion.

YISD SPANISH SPELLING BEE WINNERS
Our Explorers dominated in the District Spanish Spelling Bee competition.
Congratulations to Andrea who won 2nd place and to Alexa who won 1st place in the District Spelling Bee contest!!!

DO THE WRITE THING FINALISTS
We would also like to recognize our Explorers Natalie in 6th grade and Maya in 8th grade for participating in the national Do the Write Thing Competition. Both of our explorers were recognized as Area Finalists for YISD.
Shoutout to Natalie for finishing in the top 1% as a finalist of over 5,000 entries from all over El Paso. She was recognized last week at UTEP.

FILT FESTIVAL WINNER
Congratulations to our outstanding Explorer Jose. Jose entered the Lights, Camera, Action Student Film Festival this year. We are proud to announce that Jose won 1st Place in the Educational Video Category. He was recognized at the awards ceremony at Coronado High School.
