ARC Teacher of the Year

ARC Teacher of the Year

Alicia R. Chacón would like to congratulate Ms. Rodriguez, our very own Teacher of the year for the 2019-2020 School Year.

Ms. Rodriguez started her education in Juárez, Chihuahua, México where she attended Primaria Luis Vargas Pineda and Secundaria Federal #1. She then attended Del Valle High School, followed by EPCC and UTEP where she obtained her Bachelor's Degree in 2007.

Ms. Rodriguez has been a teacher for 10 years starting at North Loop Elementary and most recently Alicia R. Chacón. Ms. Rodriguez has taught 4th, 5th and 6th grade. She is also a sponsor for Spanish UIL and runs our Photography Club here at ARC.

Ms. Rodriguez biggest inspiration for becoming a teacher have been her parents, who left everything behind in their home country and migrated to the U.S. to make her dreams come true and become the first person in her family to obtain a college degree. She now is glad to set the example for the rest of her family and remind them that sometimes life sacrifices have to be made to forge a better future.

For Ms. Rodriguez, teaching has always been her passion. She does not only teach but also enjoys learning alongside her students day after day. She loves learning, reading, watching movies and most of all, spend quality time with her family.
