Dyslexia Department Mission Statement
The Dyslexia Department identifies, instructs, and serves all students who have characteristics of dyslexia. Our purpose is to provide a high quality education for all dyslexic students by providing effective research-based instruction and best practices that will meet our students' academic and social needs.
For information on Dyslexia contact your campus administrator, campus interventionist teacher or dyslexia coordinator. To request Dyslexia or Dysgraphia testing contact your campus administrator to initiate a Special Education referral.
Ysleta ISD has a district-wide plan that follows the guidelines and procedures in the 2021 Dyslexia Handbook in the identification of, instruction for, and accommodations for, students with dyslexia and/or related disorders.
