Segovia Named Regional Athletic Administrator of the Year

Ysleta ISD Athletics Director Martin Segovia has been named the Region 4 Athletic Administrator of the Year by the Texas High School Athletic Directors Association (THSADA) for his impactful contributions to student athletics and his dedication to THSADA.

This award is a testament not only to Segovia’s personal and professional accomplishments, but his outstanding service and commitment to the district’s athletic community.

Segovia, who has served as Ysleta ISD’s athletic director since 2021, holds a bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Nebraska at Kearney and a master’s degree in science from Kansas State University.

THSADA, the leading organization supporting athletic administrators across Texas, was founded in 1971 by a group of Texas athletic administrators who sought to address shared challenges through year-round collaboration and networking.

Today, THSADA serves as the principal advocate for athletic administrators in the state, working to promote, support, and recognize their vital role in student athletics. It is now one of the largest associations of its kind in the country.

Congratulations to Mr. Segovia on this well-deserved honor!
