Six YISD Students Receive Burger King Foundation Scholarship

Six Ysleta ISD Class of 2025 graduates were announced winners of the Burger King Foundation Scholarship in recognition of their hard work, strong academics, and leadership.

The June 17 awards ceremony highlighted the incredible potential of our students, and the support they received from the schools and staff who guided them.

The Burger King Foundation was established in honor of co-founder James W. McLamore and has awarded more than $64 million in scholarships to over 54,000 students across North America, including right here in El Paso. This year alone, local Burger King teams raised more than $20,000 to help fund scholarships for students in the El Paso community.

Out of 20 local recipients, we are proud to recognize the six Ysleta ISD students who were each awarded a $1,000 scholarship:

·      Del Valle High School – Esteban Acosta

·      Eastwood High School – Nathan Arreola

·      Del Valle High School – Analysa Madrid

·      Eastwood High School – Kimberlyn Mobbs

·      Eastwood High School – Stephanie Moreno

·      Ysleta High School – Angelina Olvera
