To support the health and well-being of our students, Ysleta Independent School District will begin serving afterschool supper meals at six campuses this year, beginning Monday, Aug. 31.

The supper program provides free and nutritious meals to children 18 years and younger, as well as students who remain on campus after school for extracurricular activities.

Fueling Students After School

The program takes place at the following campuses:

·     Eastwood Middle School

·     Bel Air High School

·     Del Valle High School

·     Parkland High School

·    Riverside High School

·    Ysleta High School

Supper meals will be served from 4 to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday at Eastwood Middle School, while the high-school sites will serve from 4:15 to 5:15 p.m. Monday through Thursday on school days (times may vary based on campus dismissal time). Supper meals are free of charge for children ages 1 to 18 years.

Healthy Meals for Busy Students

Ysleta ISD began participating in the supper program in 2017 as part of an overall effort to increase student access to healthy meals. Given the numerous students who stay on campus after school to participate in sports, theater, band, or other activities, the supper program gives students access to a nutritional meal in the cafeteria before rehearsal or practice.
