Points of Pride

Desertaire students along with teachers are engaged with different and innovative approaches to enhance their learning.

The 21st Century program provides high quality afterschool programming to encourage and support student engagement in learning, positive behaviors and college and workforce readiness. Parents are included in student and whole family activities to encourage literacy, support the child's educational journey and enhance quality of life for all participants.

The vision of Ysleta ISD to go 1:1 with student laptops through the EngageMe Initiative, along with our campus funds, has provided each Desertaire student, grades K-5, a student laptop in the classroom.

This year, the Desertaire community has been enjoying the new cafeteria that was built thanks to the YISD Bond 2015.
