Presa Elementary School

Achieving Excellence

Points of Pride

  • Presa Elementary School, Home of the Wildcats, is a K-5 school located three blocks from the historic Ysleta Mission in El Paso, Texas.  Teachers, staff and the administrative team work to offer each student “A Place to Learn, A Place to Grow” as our motto states.  We are a small, family type school where every adult cares for all the children.  We touch the socio-emotional part of children as well as their academic development and we recognize our outstanding students every month.

We offer a full range of activities during the day as outstanding classroom instruction, STEM activities, GT classes, leadership groups for students, a girls "lunch bunch," wellness Wednesdays for students and parents focus on health and well-being together.  We offer Band, Orchestra, Art and General Music classes thoughout the day.  Each child in 1st through 5th grade has their own personal Chrome book on site, in order for us to develop 21st Century learners.

Presa offers many activities throughout the year to enhance the full child.  We have student performances at Christmas and Mother's Day.  We conduct an end-of-year talent show.  We have a Science Club, Wildcat Leadership and Lunch Bunch.  We participate in most District UIL events and we showcase our Random Acts of Kindness activities throughout the school year.

Students have a sense of pride in being a "Wildcat." Presa Elementary is a community where respect, dignity, high academic expectations and a sense of belonging prevail in all we do.  Our faculty and staff work diligently to ensure that students are the number one priority in reaching high academic standards and educating the whole child.

    Our Mission Statement:

All students attending Presa Elementary school will be provided with a high quality education.  By embracing their individual, physical, emotional, and intellectual needs, they will be inspired to become lifelong learners who contribute to their community.
