Santiago received the “Mayor Johnson’s Team of Excellence Award” from El Paso Mayor Renard U. Johnson for mastering the STAAR Math assessment and demonstrating outstanding leadership in robotics. He helped earn multiple first-place finishes, the Teamwork Superintendent’s Cup, and advanced his team to the VEX IQ Texas Region 1 Competition last year. He was also recognized for mentoring new members of the robotics team.
