Rundown while Making Gains-May 12, 2025

📢 Raider Families! 📢

It’s hard to believe, but we are down to the final 14 days of school! While the year is winding down, the learning and responsibility are not over. Students are still working hard to complete assignments for their final report cards, so we kindly ask you to remind your child about the importance of finishing strong. Please help reinforce the message at home: complete and submit all work on time so that grades reflect their true effort and abilities — let’s not let the final 9 weeks slip!

As we approach the end of the year, we want to remind everyone that water guns are not allowed on campus. These have become a distraction, and we will continue to confiscate them if they are brought to school. Please help us maintain a safe and focused environment by ensuring that your child leaves these items at home. Additionally, we have noticed a concerning new trend where students are inserting pencil lead into Chromebook ports, which causes damage. We kindly ask that you take a moment to discuss this with your child to help prevent any issues. If a Chromebook is damaged as a result of this trend, the cost of repairing or replacing the device will be the responsibility of the parents.

We’re also excited to announce that our end-of-year award ceremonies will be held soon. These ceremonies will be by invitation only. Beginning Tuesday, May 13, third-period teachers will notify students who need to pick up an invitation in the rotunda during their lunchtime. Students will sign for their invitation, and it will be their responsibility to bring it home to you. The schedule for the award ceremonies is as follows:

  • 6th grade on May 27th at 9:30 AM

  • 7th grade on May 27th at 2:00 PM

  • 8th grade on May 28th at 9:30 AM

Thank you, Raider families, for your continued support and partnership this year. Together, we can help our students finish the year strong, stay focused, and celebrate their hard work and growth. We are so proud of all they have accomplished — and we are grateful for all you do to support them every step of the way!
