“Our Volunteers Make THE DISTRICT Bloom!”

Parkland High School proudly celebrated the dedication and contributions of its campus volunteers at the YISD Volunteer Awards Banquet, held on Tuesday, April 29th at the Starlight Events Center.

With this year’s theme, “Our Volunteers Make THE DISTRICT Bloom,” the event highlighted the vital role our volunteers play in nurturing student success and creating a positive school environment. Their time, care, and unwavering support continue to make a lasting impact on our Matador family.

Representing Parkland High School at the banquet were several of our outstanding volunteers, joined by Principal Javier Salgado and Communities In Schools Coordinator Veronica Gallegos, who expressed heartfelt gratitude for their ongoing service.

“Our volunteers are the heart of our school community,” said Principal Salgado. “Their generosity and spirit of service inspire us all. Tonight, we thank them for helping Parkland bloom.”

Parkland High School extends its sincerest appreciation to every volunteer who helps make our campus a better place for students and staff alike. Your efforts do not go unnoticed — you truly make a difference!
