The Borderplex Alliance is a nonprofit organization dedicated to economic development and policy advocacy in the El Paso, Texas; Las Cruces, New Mexico; and Cd. Juárez, Chihuahua region. The Borderplex Alliance provides regional, national, and international development, advocacy, representation, and support to businesses looking to expand their operations within the Borderplex region. The organization also serves as an advocate for the region in state and national capitals, promoting the economic prosperity of the region and the strength of the U.S.-Mexico relationship.

“They’re signing for an opportunity that could potentially be their future, the rest of their lives,” said Salvador Torres an architectural and engineering teacher at Riverside High School.
30 students from YISD’s Career Center Program at Riverside High School will be recognized for receiving paid summer internships.
“We’re actually getting a job in high school, to recognize us, not just sports, but actually in the industry,” said Naayah Ballinas, a student being recognized.
Jesse Marquez
A big congratulations goes out to Mr. Jesse Marquez, a junior at Riverside High School. He has been working as a precision drafting technician for LARK Industries since January 2019. He was accepted into his paid internship which needed a minimum of 5 years experience but yet landed this position with only 3 months experience, thanks to everything he has learned in his Civil Engineering/Architecture Class. He was able to demonstrate a very high level of drafting needed in the industry which includes machined parts and 3-Dimensional designs.
